Happy New Year my friends! It’s that time when we all look to the future and begin to plan a fresh start for the coming twelve months. As 2016 turns into 2017, here are my New Year’s Resolutions for Social Workers that can help make this year a little better for all of us.


1: Take some time out to treat yourself

 2: Learn to admit when you’re not coping

 3: Share your feelings with others

 4: If you’re sad at work, make a change because life’s too short

 5: Start taking better care of your body

6: While you’re at it, start taking care of your mind too!

7: Connect with other Social Workers

 8: Remind yourself that you deserve to be happy
