Private Tutoring from The Social Work Tutor
After a short break to finish writing my first book, I’m really pleased to be able to offer private tutoring again.
I’ve operated within Social Care for ten years now and, alongside my experience in Social Work, careers advice and education, I have the following academic qualifications:
- Social Work (PGDip)
- Child and Family Studies BSc (1st Class hons)
- Health and Social Care (Foundation Degree)
- Post 16 Tutoring (City & Guilds Level 4 distinction)
- Education Studies (Certificate of Higher Education)
I offer tutoring, assignment support, advice and guidance to people studying at all levels of their Social Work education. From Foundations to Degrees and Masters, I’m able to offer straight-forward support to help you get the most from your course.
As well as academic support, I’m an experienced Careers Adviser and can guide you through the job search process; providing practical help with finding positions, filling in applications and preparing you for your interview questions and aptitude tests.
I can also prepare you for your course interview and assessment process by introducing you to the expectations of your course, giving you the key skills and knowledge you need to show in the interview process, and helping you practice for the type of questions you will be asked.
I am able to travel for one-to-one support; also offering Skype tutoring and online assignment assistance for everyone living out of my area.
Alongside one-to-one sessions, my tutoring support includes:
- Free access to my private training videos
- Participation in weekly group learning sessions
- Bespoke learning guides
- Individual development plans
If you’d appreciate my help or would like to book in a free consultation to find out more, drop me an email on firstname.lastname@example.org or send me a message on Facebook
I’ve supported over a hundred students since I started tutoring in 2014. Here are some of their testimonials from over the years:
I improved with every session I had, going to merit to achieving mainly distinctions. I would highly recommend you. You were fantastic, inspiring, motivating. Without your help, I would have quit my college course and would not be going to uni in September. For that I will always be grateful. Thank you. Forever!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for your help, I know that without it I wouldn’t have been able to be as confident as I was, nor would I have been able to answer as well as I did

V: 2nd Year BSc Student- Greater London
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, my first year of an MA has been tough but with your help, support and friendly manner I honestly saw a difference. You gave me the confidence that I needed in order to not only get the task done but also attain high level grades. I very much doubt I would have passed this year without you if Im being really honest, and appreciate all that you have done
H: 1st Year BA Student- Midlands
You highlighted other topics/issues relevant to my essays. With the advice I was able to carry out further reading. You helped me gain a further understanding of issues surrounding social work practice in a neo-liberal structure. You also helped me with my understanding of theory, this aided my practice on placement. I was able to speak about the different theories learnt within my supervisions with my practice educator. The quality of the sessions you provide is outstanding. Also I have noticed you also go the extra mile and may not charge for the extra time you spend reading over my work. Don’t change! I appreciate the way I have been supported. Thanks to you I was able to achieve my goal for for the year, a distinction

How are you?Just to say thank you for your help and support I am now an expert in interviews. I went for 3 interviews and am being offered positions in all 3 LAs so am trying to explore all the options and make my decision by next week. Your support was excellent. I wouldn’t have done it without your support. Your tips on showing evidence was the best because I used to answer questions without giving practical examples. I must say everything was helpful. Thank you very much
